Where I’ve Been + Where I’ll Be: B&N Reading / Q&A Feb. 27

Hi! It’s been a while since I posted here. Thank you so much for your e-mails about DANI NOIR—it’s so great to hear from readers! Since my last post, I’ve been hard at work writing my next book—seriously seriously hard at work. This new book is a YA novel, and I’ll let you know more about it as soon as I can (but if you’re really curious, I’ve revealed some stuff about it on my writing blog). I’ve also been working on my next tween book… featuring another strong female protagonist, though maybe not as strong and outspoken as Dani herself, because how could I ever outdo Dani? I don’t think she’d let me.

I’m excited to tell you that there are plans to publish DANI NOIR in paperback, yay! I’ll keep you posted, but for now expect the paperback to release this September 2010!

So that’s where I’ve been for the past couple months: writing, writing, writing, writing. Books are hard work! But sometimes we get to celebrate all our hard work, and that’s what I’ll be doing at the end of February.

I’m super-excited to be doing my first solo reading for DANI NOIR at a local Hudson Valley Barnes & Noble on Saturday, February 27. I’ll be reading from the book and taking questions about anything and everything you may have to ask me!

Going back to Kingston for the reading is perfect, since I spent my tween and teen years very close by (even though that particular Barnes & Noble didn’t open until I’d moved away). If you’re local to the Hudson Valley, you may like to know that when I was very young, I lived in Saugerties, I went to junior high at Rondout Valley, and I spent most of my high school years at Onteora, as did my little brother and my sister. I’m thrilled to be back home for the reading.

Here are the details. I’d love to meet you, so please come by!
